Alvynn is a Franco-Senegalese director from northern France. After studying cinema, he was eager to expand his skill set and learn more about all aspects of video production. He decided to study music and sound design for movies while working as a video editor for several years on films that got awards in CPH:DOX, Art Director’s Club, New York Festival, Campaign Asia, and got distributed on Nowness & i-D Vice.

While shooting a commercial in the Philippines, Alvynn got stuck on an island for five days. He used his camera to explore the Philippine archipelago and created a 45-minute documentary that captured the beauty and the ecological challenges those islands face. He also composed the soundtrack of it. Later, Netflix bought the documentary.

At the age of 24, Alvynn decided to move to Shanghai and became a full-time director.

There, he quickly established himself as a versatile and talented director, working with international clients such as T-mall, Givenchy, Nike, Huawei, Fila and Tommy Hilfiger. He has also directed notable celebrities such as Kiki Bertens, Lang Lang, Jackson Wang and Daniel Wu.

Driven by a desire to capture authenticity and convey strong emotional storytelling, Alvynn's work is a unique blend of fashion and raw human emotion, resulting in compelling and organic stories.
